ABOUT THE PROPERTY
Jemby Rinjah Eco Lodge is an award winning accommodation complex, nestled among the native bushland and adjacent to the World Heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park.
Bird life abounds on the property (our name actually means “Blue Mountain Parrot” in the local Aboriginal dialect). A great favourite with children and overseas visitors, is our daily bird feeding.
Every morning at 8.30am guests can hand feed our namesakes, the Crimson Rosellas, and flocks of King Parrots that call Jemby Rinjah, home. This is a ‘must do” for visitors to the Lodge.
After dinner, relax in the large sunken fire pit. This is the focal point of the lodge, and a gathering place for guests to relax after a hard days bush walking.
The staff at the lodge will do their best to make your stay comfortable, but at the same time are careful, not to intrude on your privacy.
Some of the cabins, and one of the lodges have wheel chair access or can be adapted quite easily for disabled patrons.
ROOM FEATURES
The Lodge comprises of two types of accommodation. There are ten self-contained cabins, sleeping between two and six people. The cabins are used mainly for families, and have warm slow combustion fires in the lounges, to keep away the winter chill.
All beds have linen supplied, completed with a snuggly feather doona, so guest are cosy even on the coldest mountain night.
The kitchenettes are well equipped and make self-catering a simple task, or you can indulge yourself, and eat in our licensed on site restaurant, where our modern Australian cuisine is waiting to tempt you. (Restaurant Bookings Essential)
CABINS There are ten self contained cabins located in the bush. Seven feature two bedrooms, lounge and small kitchenette and three feature a loft style bedroom, lounge and kitchenette.
DELUXE CABIN For a special occasion we have a romantic retreat cabin which is a spacious one bedroom cabin with a rainwater filled Japanese hot tub, slow combustion wood stove, television, video and stereo.
ECO LODGE Accommodation at the centre also consists of three separate, pole frame “Ecolodges”. Each feature five bedrooms, including a loft bedroom, two bathrooms, a common lounge area and a north facing veranda overlooking the bush.
ADDITIONAL FACILITIES
| There is a large BBQ area, which is also available for guests to use, so that several cabins can socialize around this area. It also has a sunken fire pit, that can be used by guests (except on total fire ban days). |
