About the town Away from the main highway and railroad, Mt. Riverview residents revel in their slight isolation, and yet know they are only minutes away from shops and public transport. With several lookouts and trails that allow a rare uninterrupted view over the Nepean River back towards the city of Sydney, Mt. Riverview is a pleasant blend between the quiet comforts of blue mountains life, and the reassurance of commercial activity.

A primary school in Mt. Riverview, as well as a high school in nearby Blaxland ensures residents don't have to travel too far for schooling, and buses commute regularly through the towns in the lower mountains. A small shopping centre caters for quick pick-ups and IGA in Blaxland is only 5 minutes away.

Not very well known, but with great views of Sydney and Nepean as well as all the necessities nearby, it's a great little town.
