PROPERTY FEATURES
ACCOMMODATION Leave the busy week behind when you open the front door to the spectacular cathedral-ceiling lounge of the timber lodge. The tranquillity, the views and the beautiful environment, both inside and out, will start to work their magic and help you relax and enjoy a real ‘retreat’ from everyday life.
ROOM FEATURES King-size double or twin beds.
MASSAGE THERAPIES, CONSULTATIONS AND WORKSHOPS The Blue Mountains Wellness Retreat at Dargan Springs offers pampering massages and aromatherapy facials. Try tai chi, a guided meditation or learn more about natural health in a workshop or consultation on fitness, healthy eating or lifestyle balance.
CORPORATE OR SOCIAL GROUPS Catering for up to 16 people, enjoy exclusive use of the retreat for a corporate workshop or social group. Services, facilities and menus can be tailored to your requirements. The Green Room accommodates 12 - 14 people as a naturally- lit and comfortable conference room.
OUTDOOR HOT SPA Wallow in the heated natural spring water in the outdoor hot spa. Giant gum trees are spot-lit at night under a blanket of stars and during the day wallabies may keep you company on the lawn.
FACILITIES
 | Comfort, rest and relaxation are the priorities here, so the lounges are equipped with lots of books, magazines, music, board games and quiet corners for a good read or a chat with friends. There are no TVs or phones (except in the office).
Two therapy rooms are within the lodge so you can roll straight from a relaxing massage back to your room for a rest; and a meditation/quiet room is open all day.
|
ROCK LABYRINTH
 | Laid out near the spring on our property, this is a contemplative path in the shape of a 7-circle labyrinth. It leads you through a living tree, past the north rock and to the altar stone at the centre. Unlike a maze, the labyrinth path has no dead ends, but winds simply towards the centre and back out . The path can be walked quietly as part of a meditation or just for fun. |
ACTIVITIES
 | Swimming (summer only ...)
In the dramatic dammed gorge about 20 minute's walk from the retreat; fresh deep water swimming with vertical rock walls on one side, and sandy banks on the other, this makes a refreshing and energising swimming pool. Keep a look out for the platypus around the bush banks, and the adventurous can climb the vertical cliffs and do the high-dive if you dare. |
OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES
 | There are walking tracks directly from the retreat to stunning cliff top walks, spectacular rock pagodas and ferny creeks… go on your own or take a guided walk to learn more about the natural and cultural heritage of the local area. We have mountain bikes to borrow, and for the more adventurous, try rock climbing or abseiling. |
ECO-TOUR WILDERNESS WALKS
 | The world-heritage Wollemi National Park, a short drive from the Retreat, is a wilderness waiting to be explored. We prefer to go 'off the beaten track' of most other commercial operators, but all trips will be tailored to your appetite for adventure. Half- or full-day guided walks, taking a packed lunch, give you time to explore some of the extraordinary country. Places such as Gooches Crater, Deep Pass, the Bungleboori headwaters and River Caves Canyon reveal their secrets including Aboriginal shelters with paintings, 'the lost city' of rock pagodas, caves, rock chasms, lush creeks, canyons, waterfalls and swimming holes. |
ABSEILING AND CLIMBING
 | Within 15 minutes walk of the Lodge, there are many easily accessible beginners climbs, as well as the world-renowned challenging crags of Cosmic County. With groups no larger than 4 people, the emphasis is on personal achievement and discovering the challenge at your own level - as well as enjoying the spectacular natural 'playground'. All safety equipment is provided. |
